Attic's Got Talent

ATTIC'S GOT TALENT

The attic announces an AMAZING TALENT COMPETITION for all you budding musicians out there.

Are you a soloist, duo, group or band?

Do you perform Pop, Jazz, Rock, Classical, Funk or Fusion Music?

Would you like to record a single?

Would you like fame, fortune and the works?

Well then, this competition is for you!

Over 6 months, we will have aspiring and budding talents strut their stuff and at each round we will choose 1 to be in the semi finals.

There will be 2 Parts of 6 Heats each.

One Winner will be chosen from each heat for a place in the Semi-Finals.

2 winners from each Semi-Final will proceed to the FINALS.

They will then compete for the title of Champion!

50% votes come from the Judges and 50% come from the audience

So come watch the newest acts in town and be part of making history!

TIME: 7.30pm (registration) ; 9pm Contest begins.

Eligibility

Eligibility

This is a talent competition which is open to anyone who Sings, or Plays an instrument whether you be a soloist, duo, group or band.

Style is open: Classical, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Indie etc.

DJ’s are not eligible.

There will be 10 acts per night.

Contestants must submit applications at least 4 days before the contest heat night.

Contestants must register on the night of the heat between 7.30-8.30pm

Each act will be given the order of performance at 9pm.

Each contestant will be given 5 mins to perform.

If you are a vocalist or instrumentalist, you may either perform unaccompanied, with a single accompanist (guitar/keyboard/piano), minus one or band.

PROVIDED

The attic will provide A Baby Grand Piano & A Drum Set, Backline including Microphones, Mic Stands and monitors will be provided.

NOT PROVIDED

Drumsticks, Guitar Amps, Music Stands, Jacks & Cables.

Should the judges find your performance less than satisfactory, they might ask you to stop.

At the end of the night ONE winner will be chosen

Contest Details

Duration :

Divided into 2 seasons

Each Season lasts 3 months

Total Duration: 6 months

Contest Heats: 2 times a month.

One winner is chosen at the end of the heats each night leaving us with 6 semi finalists.

Semi Finals 1 & 2

6 acts per semi finals compete for 2 spots in the finals

FINALS – 4 acts will compete for title of WINNER and RUNNER UP

GRAND PRIZE
1. A Fully Produced Single Recorded by Sharon Paul (Music Producer)
2. RM 500 Gift Voucher from CK Music
3. Media Coverage on Radio and Newspapers and Selected Magazines
4. One Night's Fully Paid Gig @ the attic

Rules & Regulations

All contestants must be 16 years of age or older at time of entry.
If you are under 21 years old you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian during the competition.
Please complete and return the application form to us as soon as possible.
The organizers reserve the right to use any information about and images of the contestants for publicity and marketing
You must be resident in Malaysia with a valid IC which you will provide at the day of registration in order to substantiate your age. This is so you may be able to work in this country.
You must not have

• a contract for talent representation (for example, a talent agent or manager);

• a music recording contract;

• an acting and/or modeling contract;

• a merchandising agreement; or,

• any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit you from entering into a

management contract, recording contract, talent contract

All contestants must be willing to be managed by the organizers for a said period of time post the competition.
The winner will agree to record a single with Producer Sharon Paul
You acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules regulations terms and conditions for this competition as determined by the Company (the "Rules") and that the Rules may be changed (including without limitation verbally) at any time by the Company and that you will be bound by such Rules. The Company's decisions shall be final.
All personal details and/or information given in your application either in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.
The Company reserves the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.
