ATTIC'S GOT TALENT SEASON 1 SEMI FINALS
June 17th 2008

After 6 long grueling heats, we've finally come to the moment of truth, the Season 1 Semi Finals, which lucky 3 will be chosen to move on to the Finals?

It wasn't an easy decision to make believe me, I know, I was there. All 6 semi finalists possessed a talent so unique from the other.

The crowd had started pouring into The Attic early in the evening. Family, friends, random supporters, all eager and impatient for the night to get started, so they can get on with the rootin' and votin'. The Semi Finalists introduced, Fraddy, Wei Lin, Suzie, Arjuna, Vessel of Worship & Anna Anthonia.

Fraddy, talented singer songwriter crooning whilst plucking the lyres of his guitar.

Shy and demure, but Wei Lin came off to be a powerful songstress!

Suzie won over the crowd with her sweet smile, and awed them even more with soothing folk-ish voice.

Friendly bright eyed Anna Anthonia showed her skills on the ebony&ivory

Nicholas Davis accompanied by Savy on violin, painfully honest songwriter baring his soul to the crowd.

Dave & Rufus from the Vessel of Worship bringing down the house with enthusiasm and showmanship

Sweet faced Arjuna soothed the crowd with pop favorites.

It was a tough call, all the finalists had performed spectacularly, but at the end of the day there could only be 3 finalists on to the Finals. The crowd didn't waste time getting their hands on the voting slips, and half an hour later, when all votes were tabulated, host Llew Marsh had the honors of announcing the names of the lucky 3.

So congratulations to VESSEL OF WORSHIP, NICHOLAS DAVIS & ARJUNA for making it to the GRAND FINALS! Where wonderful prizes await!

So Season Two is in session guys! We've got 6 more heats to go, which means we're on the lookout for fresh hidden talents. If you got it, don't be shy, get up here and flaunt it!

Eligibility

Eligibility

This is a talent competition which is open to anyone who Sings, or Plays an instrument whether you be a soloist, duo, group or band.

Style is open: Classical, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Indie etc.

DJ’s are not eligible.

There will be 10 acts per night.

Contestants must submit applications at least 4 days before the contest heat night.

Contestants must register on the night of the heat between 7.30-8.30pm

Each act will be given the order of performance at 9pm.

Each contestant will be given 5 mins to perform.

If you are a vocalist or instrumentalist, you may either perform unaccompanied, with a single accompanist (guitar/keyboard/piano), minus one or band.

PROVIDED

The attic will provide A Baby Grand Piano & A Drum Set, Backline including Microphones, Mic Stands and monitors will be provided.

NOT PROVIDED

Drumsticks, Guitar Amps, Music Stands, Jacks & Cables.

Should the judges find your performance less than satisfactory, they might ask you to stop.

At the end of the night ONE winner will be chosen

Contest Details

Duration :

Divided into 2 seasons

Each Season lasts 3 months

Total Duration: 6 months

Contest Heats: 2 times a month.

One winner is chosen at the end of the heats each night leaving us with 6 semi finalists.

Semi Finals 1 & 2

6 acts per semi finals compete for 2 spots in the finals

FINALS – 4 acts will compete for title of WINNER and RUNNER UP

GRAND PRIZE
1. A Fully Produced Single Recorded by Sharon Paul (Music Producer)
2. RM 500 Gift Voucher from CK Music
3. Media Coverage on Radio and Newspapers and Selected Magazines
4. One Night's Fully Paid Gig @ the attic

Rules & Regulations

Rules & Regulations

All contestants must be 16 years of age or older at time of entry.
If you are under 21 years old you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian during the competition.
Please complete and return the application form to us as soon as possible.
The organizers reserve the right to use any information about and images of the contestants for publicity and marketing
You must be resident in Malaysia with a valid IC which you will provide at the day of registration in order to substantiate your age. This is so you may be able to work in this country.
You must not have

• a contract for talent representation (for example, a talent agent or manager);

• a music recording contract;

• an acting and/or modeling contract;

• a merchandising agreement; or,

• any other contractual arrangement that would prohibit you from entering into a

management contract, recording contract, talent contract

All contestants must be willing to be managed by the organizers for a said period of time post the competition.
The winner will agree to record a single with Producer Sharon Paul
You acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules regulations terms and conditions for this competition as determined by the Company (the "Rules") and that the Rules may be changed (including without limitation verbally) at any time by the Company and that you will be bound by such Rules. The Company's decisions shall be final.
All personal details and/or information given in your application either in this form or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading.
The Company reserves the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information, have failed to abide by the Rules and/or are in breach of the terms hereof.
